Woodward Place is a redevelopment of a former Sears building on Woodward in Highland Park. The site has a terrific combination of both population and daytime employment. The shopping center will be located adjacent to Highland Park Place which is anchored by Rite Aid, Foot Locker, Rainbow, Simply Fashions and Radio Shack and Model-T Plaza which is anchored by Glory Supermarket, Forman Mills, Citi-Trends, Ashley Stewart, and McDonalds. Retailers volumes in the trade area are well above average for urban environments. In addition to great population density there is an under served daytime employment. Frankel Development continues leasing their 1.5 million square foot Oakland Park project which includes the following businesses; Ryder Logistics, Visteon (approximately 400 employees) and Coca Cola Distribution. Oakland Park is only about 1/4 mile from the subject site. Additional area employers include; Budco, Helm, John Greene General Contractors and East Towne Distributors. |
