Developed in 2005, Mack Alter Square has become the dominant shopping center on the city's east side. Mack Alter is anchored by Aldi, Rite Aid and Family Dollar. Besides drawing from the strong population densities of the City of Detroit and neighboring Grosse Pointe Park; the city with various federal agencies, local organizations and private developers and home builders are well underway on the far east side project which promotes home ownership and will result in over 4,000 new homes. |
